Student Clubs

STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTRE

SAC holds for “Student Activity Centre”. It plays a significant role for the development of personal, career and organising skills of the students and help to participate in the progress of the institute through interacting programs with the faculty, administration and students. It encourages the innovative and creative skills of the students.

SAC is made up of five different clubs namely Kalasaahithyakruti, Samskrti, Krida, Madhyama, and Yuj. Each club has an outstanding influence in blossoming the technical, organisational and managerial skills of the students community.

SAC is successfully running under the expert guidance of B.SAI VENKATA KRISHNA (VICE – PRINCIPAL) of MIETW.

Arts And Literature Club

“Kalasaahithyakruti”

Introduction: 

“The culture of a civilization is the art and literature through which it rises to consciousness of itself and defines its vision of the world.”

The Art and Literally club has been conceived by the college for the love of the language and arts exhibited by all teachers and students. This club showcases some of the wonderful artistic and creative abilities of the students at MIETW.It enables the students to portray their artistic expressions.

Vision:

  • To give wings to the imagination of the students.
  • Enrich the literary and artistic appreciation of literature and art among students.

Mission:

  • To enhance the students linguistic, writing and artistic skills.

Objectives:

  • To encourage students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity.
  • To develop a taste for art and literature.
  • Organizing activities that provide opportunities to develop student’s artistic skills.
  • Builds confidence to be at ease not only professionally but also socially.

Dancing (Twirling Stars)

“The Body Says What Words Cannot.”

This dance club is to boost up the morale of students and to highlight the talent of dance and creativity. It provides opportunities to dance lovers to prove their talent. This club is created to help the students in reducing their stress and boost up their memory.To motivate the students for participation at University, State & National level dance competitions.

Singing (Musique)

“Words make you think. Music makes you feel. A song makes you feel a thought.”

The musique club encourages students to realize their musical talent. It motives the students to participate and get exposed to the competition at different levels. It focuses on cultivation of musical talent around the campus. It is a precious part of“Kalasaahithyakruti”the where the musical talent grows and where the leadership and inclusiveness get literally practiced and encouraged through the club meetings and concert performances.

Painting (Creative Hearts)

MIETW introduced painting in the view of students growth as it helps in improving of both mentally and physically. The main objective of the CREATIVE ARTS is to encourage the budding talent of the student. Inspiring students to make maximum contribution as creative artists and citizens.

Craft (Craftmatic)

“Art is not a handicraft; it is the transmission of feeling the artist has experienced.”

The activities are easy, thought-provoking, and educational. Crafts explore themes such as culture, science, and math. Through these crafts, students learn background information about each of the themes.

Sketch (Fancy Pencils)

“Drawing is rather like playing chess: your mind races ahead of the moves that you eventually make.”

Sketching enables you to start the best ideas. It’s a powerful process since it always helps you in discovering new ideas and solutions to your designs. Its intention is to make students learn to write and think creatively, develop hand-eye coordination, hone analytic skills and conceptualise ideas.

Cultural Club

“Samskrti”

Introduction:

“Diversity and inclusion are about giving value to every human being, no matter our difference.”

The aim of the Cultural club is to help students keep in touch with the rich cultural values, customs and traditions of our country. This club intends to make students aware of civilized communication, beliefs, values, etiquette, and rituals of different religions in our country.

Vision:

Cultural club focuses on promoting Indian culture and tradition through various cultural activities in the field of fine arts and also provide platform for the students to display their talents and learn and keep up the Indian heritage and culture and achieve cultural unity.

Mission:

  • Our mission is to promote exposure and to increase the awareness of the students towards the fine arts of the world. The club also acts as a forum to improve one’s communication skills, expressivity and critical thinking power.
  • To provide an enriching and social environment to promote the advancement of Multicultural learning within the MIETW.

Objectives:

  • To provide members an opportunity to explore their own culture and learn appreciation of other cultures.
  • To provide students the opportunity for participation in various kinds of activities which involve different modes of communication at different levels.

Sports Club

“Krida”

Introduction:

The Sports club is committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students. The activities at MIETW offers the students an opportunity to participate in a broad variety of sports and to live a balanced life academically, athletically and socially.

Vision:

To encourage and motivate students to involve in various sports activities at both inter and intra college level

Mission:

The Sports club organizes Inter-college Sports to provide leadership and recreation opportunities to the students and faculty in order to enhance their knowledge and skill in a specific sport of interest.

Objectives:

  • To provide leadership experiences for the students’ body at State & National Level Competitions.
  • To maintain communication with the College officials to conducts sports and games much effectively in a scheduled way.

Media Club

“Madhyama”

Introduction:

“Whoever controls the media, controls the mind.”

Media Club engages students who exhibit interest and talent in photography, painting, music and dance. Students are given the opportunity to develop their skills in video editing, photography, exhibitions, field trips. It gives training courses and gives them enough confidence to participate in national and international competitions.

Vision:

  • To encourage and motivate students to involve in media activities.
  • To build co-operative relationship with students.

Mission:

  • To enhance connectivity between college activities and students.
  • To advertise and promote various college events through digital marketing.
  • To motivate students to pursue journalism as their career.

  • To develop an understanding of the effects of mass media on themselves as individuals and also upon society.
  • To build up skills to deconstruct media messages by making them understand the constructed nature of media.

The objective of “The Megha” is to let people know about the activities and events conducted by MIETW.

  

 MERCHANDISE (MEGAPLEX)

“Good merchandise, even hidden, soon finds buyers.”

The “MEGAPLEX” is driven by the motto of entrepreneurship through collective participation and strives to support MIETW by catering to their merchandising requirements. We exhibit the art and crafts made by students and put it for sale through MIETW “Megaplex”.

 

Yoga Club

“Yuj”

Introduction:

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

Yoga is an art which connects our body, mind and soul together and makes one strong and peaceful. MIETW introduced Yoga club with the intention of helping the students to be fit and healthy so that they can concentrate well on the work they do.

Vision:

To understand the importance of yoga and maintaining good health both physically and mentally.

Mission:

  • To train young, intelligent and educated women into basics of Yoga with all its pure and pristine form.
  • To enable them to discover Yogic tenets in their own cultures.
  • Instilling a passion for healthy living and respect for our culture in the younger generation.

Objectives:

  • To support the physical and emotional health and wellness of students and teachers.
  • To enhance focus, concentration, comprehension and memory.
  • To ease anxiety and tension.
  • To maintain mental and physical health by relieving from stress.
