Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) discipline has become important and plays a major role in every industry and it connects the world using its technology. As the Technology in general & ECE in particular has evolved over time. This makes ECE discipline one of the most sought-after branches by the students.
This discipline requires strong undertaking of Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level . The above knowledge helps the students to understand and Design the Electronics and Communication Circuits Prototypes using its devices.
ECE focuses on four key areas in Electronics viz Electrical Circuits, Electronic Devices & Circuits, Computer Hardware & Software, Communication & Signal Processing.
Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) is concerned with the study, design, development, and testing of electronic equipment utilized in a variety of systems. Engineers in the field of electronics and communications also design and supervise the production of communication and broadcast systems.
The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was started in 2008 . It is a full-fledged academic department for emerging ECE engineers. B.Tech ECE program was duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad with an intake of 90 seats and Enhanced to 120 seats in 2012,180 seats in 2013 and from 2015 the intake is 120 seats.
In 2012 M.Tech with specialization of VLSI Design, Embedded systems with an intake of 18 seats was started and Enhanced to 36 seats in 2013 .
In the year 2013 with an intake of 60 seats for diploma program was started and Enhanced to 120 seats in 2014
The department of ECE is expertly headed by P. Anjaiah , an eminent and dynamic academician who has experience of 15 years which includes 2years of proven industrial experience.
The department has competent hard working faculty with 18 in number (2 DoctrateS,16 Assistant Professors associated with and additional support of non teaching and technical staff )
The department has spacious laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment for various laboratories. Seminars, Guest Lectures, Workshops and Technical Symposia are conducted in the department to keep faculty and students updated with latest developments in various technologies. The department is committed to provide students the opportunity to embark on a rewarding and exciting learning journey in preparation for a future career
