Admission Procedure – Telangana State
MIETW follows the admission process as prescribed by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). All admissions are conducted through centralised online counselling based on entrance Examination Ranks.
B.Tech Admissions
Entrance Examination
- TG EAPCET – Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, conducted by JNTUH on behalf of TGCHE.
- TG ECET – Engineering Common Entrance Test, for Lateral Entry into 2nd year B.Tech
for Diploma and B.Sc.(Mathematics).
Eligibility
- Passed Intermediate (10+2) with Mathematics Physics and Chemistry (MPC) with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/BC categories).
- Lateral Entry: Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc (Mathematics) with minimum 45% marks.

Category A (Convener Quota) | 70% | TG EAPCET rank + online counselling by TGCHE
Category B (Management / NRI Quota) | 30% | Direct admission through institution (merit based)
Steps – Category A (Convener Quota)
- Appear for TG EAPCET and obtain your rank card.
- Register on the TGCHE counselling portal (tgche.ac.in) and pay the registration fee.
- Attend Certificate Verification at the designated Help Line Centre (HLC) with originals and photocopies of all required documents.
- Exercise web options (college and branch preferences) during the options entry window.
- Seat allotment is published online — check your allotment letter.
- Report to MIETW with the allotment letter, fee payment receipt and original certificates for admission.
Steps – Category B (Management Quota)
- Contact MIETW admissions desk directly or apply online at /application.
- Submit copies of Intermediate mark sheet, hall ticket and TG EAPCET rank card.
- Seat is confirmed on payment of fees as per the fee structure approved by TGFRC.

- SSC (10th) Marks Memo & Certificate
- Intermediate (10+2) Marks Memo & Certificate
- TG EAPCET Hall Ticket & Rank Card
- Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Income Certificate (for fee reimbursement)
- Aadhaar Card
- Passport-size photographs (6 copies)
M.Tech Admissions
Entrance Examination
- TG PGECET – Telangana PG Engineering Common Entrance Test, conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TGCHE.
- Candidates with a valid GATE score are also eligible and given preference in merit list.
Eligibility
- B.Tech / B.E. in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).

PG Admissions (MBA & MCA)
Entrance Examination
- TG ICET – Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test, conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TGCHE. Common entrance for both MBA and MCA programmes.
Eligibility

MBA | Any Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories)
MCA | Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects (10+2 or degree level) with minimum 50% marks

Fee Reimbursement Scheme
Students belonging to SC, ST and BC communities whose family income is below the prescribed limit are eligible for Telangana Fee Reimbursement (Vidya Devanam / Jagananna Vidya Deevena). Submit the income certificate and caste certificate at the time of admission for processing.
