Anti-Ragging
MIETW maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form on its campus, hostels, buses, or any premises connected to the institution. The college is fully compliant with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, and the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
What Constitutes Ragging
Ragging includes any act — whether physical, verbal, psychological, or electronic — that causes mental or physical harm, distress, humiliation, or embarrassment to a student. This includes:
- Teasing, bullying, or humiliating a student
- Forcing a student to perform any act against her will
- Physical abuse or threat of abuse
- Cyberbullying or harassment via social media
- Any act that adversely affects the dignity of a student
Consequences of Ragging
- Suspension or expulsion from the institution
- Withholding results, marks, or certificates
- Debarment from examinations
- FIR lodged with the police (criminal action)
- Cancellation of scholarship or fellowship
Anti-Ragging Measures at MIETW
- Anti-ragging affidavits collected from all students and parents at the time of admission
- Anti-ragging committee constituted with faculty, staff, and student representatives
- Sensitisation workshops and awareness campaigns conducted at the start of every academic year
- CCTV surveillance at key campus locations
- Complaint boxes placed at accessible locations
- Resident wardens vigilant in the hostel premises

Report a Complaint
Any student experiencing or witnessing ragging should report it immediately to:
- The Anti-Ragging Committee at the college office
- The Principal's Office
- The Hostel Warden (for residential students)
