MIETW Students Shine at National Conference on KREEDA-2026

Students of Megha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (MIETW), Hyderabad, brought laurels to the institution through their enthusiastic participation in the National Conference on KREEDA-2026, held from 17–19 September 2026 at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and organized by the Department of Physical Education, Banaras Hindu University.

The conference provided a national platform for showcasing India’s rich heritage of traditional games and their relevance to education, culture, cognitive development, and holistic well-being. Representing MIETW, the students presented five posters on various ancient traditional games of India and also conducted engaging live demonstrations of selected games. Their presentations highlighted the historical significance, strategic elements, educational value, and cultural relevance of traditional Indian games.

A major achievement for the institute was secured by Ms. Y. Aashritha, who received the Best Demonstration Award for the Chaturanga Game. Her demonstration effectively showcased the strategic and intellectual dimensions of the ancient Indian board game and was appreciated by the conference participants and organizers.

The achievement was warmly appreciated by Mr. N. Mohan Reddy, Chairman, MIETW; Mrs. K. Malathi Reddy, Vice Chairperson, MIETW; Mrs. N. Sanjana Reddy, Executive Director; Dr. P. Ramasubramanian, Principal; and Dr. B. Sai Venkata Krishna, Vice Principal, along with the faculty and staff of the institute.

The management congratulated the students for their outstanding performance at the national level and appreciated their efforts in preserving, promoting, and presenting India’s traditional knowledge and cultural heritage.
